Steel in Motion is presented by the Will Allen Foundation in collaboration with The Pittsburgh Foundation, whose longstanding leadership in expanding opportunity across our region has helped create pathways for young people to thrive.
The evening will feature an extraordinary panel of Steelers leaders:
- Will Allen - 12 year NFL veteran, entrepreneur, and founder of WAF
- Mel Blount - NFL Hall of Famer, Steelers Hall of Honor, Mel Blount Youth Leadership Initiative, and 4-Time Super Bowl Champion
- Ryan Shazier - NFL All Pro Linebacker, Spinal Cord Injury Survivor, and Ryan Shazier Fund for Spinal Cord Rehabilitation
- Pat Freiermuth - Steelers Starting Tight End, Education Advocate, and Community Leader

At this event, you’ll hear NFL greats reflect on that moment of belief that launched their journey. And you’ll be invited to consider a powerful question: Who are we willing to believe in today?
At the Will Allen Foundation, we see extraordinary potential in students discovering STEM, exploring healthcare and technology careers, earning certifications, and preparing for the workforce. Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not. This night is about celebrating and creating it.
