Week two of the Will Allen Foundation's Best Summer Yet camp is in the books, and it was a busy one! From engineering challenges to outdoor adventures, our campers packed in a little bit of everything.

Campers put their engineering skills to the test with a tallest tower building challenge, working together to see whose design could reach new heights. They also got hands-on with VEX pieces, designing and building their own fidget toys.

This week's activities weren't just about building things — students also learned about nutrition and how to make healthy snacks, including yogurt parfaits, giving them tasty, practical takeaways they can use at home.

Campers practiced important interpersonal skills this week, too. Through public speaking exercises and teamwork activities, they built confidence and learned how to collaborate and communicate with one another.

Our partners at Venture Outdoors returned this week for a full day of outdoor learning. Students explored local wildlife, learned how to fish, practiced navigation with a compass, and even designed their own boats to see if they could float!

To close out the week, campers took part in a music therapy session — a relaxing way to reflect on everything they learned and experienced.

Week two brought new skills, new friendships, and a whole lot of fun. We can't wait to see what's next for our Best Summer Yet campers!
