Best Summer Yet Camp: Week Four Recap

Week four of the Will Allen Foundation's Best Summer Yet camp brought new friends, outdoor adventures, and a whole lot of creativity for our Clairton campers!

A Visit from the Mounted Officers 🐴

Campers had a special visit from the Allegheny County Mounted Officers Department this week. Equine Officer Jimbo was a hit with the Clairton City School District students, who also loved meeting Officer Bobbie and Sergeant Jason.

S'mores and Tie Dye with Venture Outdoors 🔥🎨

Our partners at Venture Outdoors kept the fun going with a campfire where campers roasted s'mores together. They also got creative making their own tie dye shirts, adding some color to the week.

Playground and Gym Fun 🛝

Campers spent time playing on the playground and in the gym, giving them plenty of chances to run, play, and be kids.

Creek Stomping and Fishing 🐟

The camp headed out to Peter's Creek in Jefferson for an afternoon of creek stomping and fishing, getting campers outside to explore and enjoy nature up close.

Yoga with Brynn's Mom 🧘

To help campers relax and recharge, Brynn's mom joined camp to teach a yoga session — a peaceful way to slow down after a busy week.
