The Will Allen Foundation's Best Summer Yet camp kicked off in Clairton this week, and it was a week to remember!

Camp launched with a full day of hands-on fun. Students dove into art projects, explored science activities, and got outside for some fresh air. A special thanks goes out to our partner, Venture Outdoors, who joined us to help students plant flowers — adding a little extra color to a great first day.

Next stop: the Moonshot Museum! Our Clairton campers had an out-of-this-world experience, getting up close with real lunar spacecraft, taking on their own simulated space mission, and learning what it really takes to explore space.

The space theme continued through the rest of the week! On Wednesday, students got creative with a STREAM activity, designing their own planets from scratch. Then Moonshot Museum came to us, bringing their mobile museum to Clairton for a hands-on lunar engineering challenge that had campers thinking like real space engineers.

Week one set the tone for a summer full of discovery, creativity, and new experiences. We can't wait to share what's next!
